On a bike ride again

In Seattle on Saturday May 23rd

Chris and I celebrated our very first wedding anniversary on May 25th with a weekend up to the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls just 30 mins east of Seattle. It was beautiful weather and we had a great time on the trails right near the hotel with a 10mile hike one day and then about 20 or so mile bike ride the next day. The food was great...look at the chocolate creation.. and overall a very relaxing weekend. Chris had flowers like the ones from our weddding in the room when we got there, we had hot stone massages (which were wonderful), chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room and dinner at the nice restaurant at the hotel.

And on a side note, we went to downtown Seattle on our way up on Saturday and just happen to run into Jon Ransom and his wife Mel that I work with...it is such a small world. They were eating lunch at the same place as us...which is crazy because Seattle is such a big place and there were tons of people.

New Car!

For the past 2 1/2 years we have been making it with a single car. This weekend we finally got our second car! We got an SC 430 (pictures below). We are really excited for the weather to warm up and be able to drive around with the top down. We have both really wanted this car for a long time. I (Chris) have wanted one ever since my dad had one back in 2002. It will be fun to drive it up to Seattle for our anniversary that is coming up.

Jordyn's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Jordyn's 1st Birthday yesterday (her real b-day is May 5th). Little girls are so cute and sweet. We had a really good time watching her excitement as she openned her gifts and had some birthday cake. She is such a cutey. Jordyn is our favorite and only niece so she is sure to be spoiled by us for a while.

I made the cake for the party which I thought turned out cute. It was my very first two tiered cake. It is really such a fun hobby and I continue to learn each time. This time I learned I need to measure my dowels for the tiers better. But oh well, the cake tasted great.
